Dr. Peng had been hired as assistant professor, associate professor, principal scientist/ professor, and research director, in Sichuan Academy ofAgricultural Sciences, Guangdong Ocean University, Colorado state University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Monsanto, China National Seed Group Co. Ltd., respectively. He got his Ph.D. degree of Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Haifa, Israel, in 2000. He obtained his M.S. degree of Crop Genetics and Breeding (1986) and B.S. degree of Agronomy (1983) from the Sichuan Agricultural University.
Dr. Peng has multinational working and training experience, including Japan, Israel, Germany, and the United States. So far, he has published 122 research papers in prestigiousacademic journals at home and abroad, and 85 of which have been published in 37 SCI journals, and has been cited more than 6000 times. Furthermore, he possesses 4 years' experience in quantitative genetics of maize, 15 years' experience in rice genetics and breeding, 3 years' experience in R&D of vegetable crops, and over 20 years' experience in molecular genetics and breeding of wheat. He also has 10 years' experience of R&Din both domestic and international seed companies. He currently serves as an associate editor of the international journal Frontiers in Plant Science.
