Dr. Qiu joined Huazhi Biotech in August 2018. He worked in the Life Science and Technology Center of China National Seed Group Co., Ltd., and engaged in trait analysis and project management of Genetically Modified Crops (GMO) from 2011 to 2017. During 2015 and 2016, he was seconded to the Development Center for Science and Technology, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of PRC, and was responsible for the safety evaluation of GMO. From 2017 to 2018, he co-founded Wuhan Lichen-Bio Technology Co., Ltd. and served as the vice general manager.

Mr. Qiu received his Ph.D. degree of Crop Science from Zhejiang University in 2011, M.S. degree in Plant Science from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University in 2008, B.S. degree in Biology Science from Jiangsu Normal University in 2005.
