Dr. Yang joined Huazhi Biotech in June 2017. He is a molecular biologist and seed quality control expert with more than 30 years of research experience in China and abroad. He has extensive experience in the fields of gene mapping, gene cloning, molecular marker development, and molecular breeding for plants of canola, potato, safflower, cotton, maize, algae, etc.
As a scientist, he worked respectively in the French National Seed Testing Station (SNES), Lethbridge Research Center of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, SemBiosys Genetics Inc., Plant Biotechnology Institute of National Research Council of Canada, and R&D Center of Crop Production Service, Agrium. Prior to going abroad, he had worked as a research team leader in the Institute of Cotton Research, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences for 12 years.?
Mr. Yang received his Ph.D. degree of Molecular Genetics from the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in August 2003; his M.S. degree of Crop Genetics and Breeding from the Graduate School, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in July 1988; and his B.S. degree of Agronomy from the College of Agronomy, Northwest A&F University in July 1985.
